2nd Uxbridge Remembrance Day 2020

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

As the UK entered lockdown number 2, one of the sadder moments was reflecting that 2nd Uxbridge could not take part in its yearly Remembrance Day parade from St Margarets Church to the Uxbridge Memorial.

Instead this year, we had to be inventive in our ways to honour those who gave their lives for ours. Firstly, our Group Scout Leader Stephen Leighs visited the Uxbridge Memorial to lay a wreath and to honour the two minutes silence.

Secondly, for those that did not see live, Chris Troughton, Darren Butcher + Rob Carruthers and their Scouting Children led a socially distanced live parade in their road for the neighbours to observe (in their very best socially distanced manner!
