YHA Swanage 30th March 2007

Another of our YHA walks was held over the 30th and 31st March 2007. The group travelled to Swanage on Friday night, spent the night in the Youth Hostel and then walked through the Dorset countryside in lovely weather on the Saturday.

Everyone gathered at the HQ ....... .....as usual the Scouts had too much energy.
A brief chat to discuss thr route down......... .....oops! Who did not close the door.
The race is on to catch Tony before all the gear falls out of the trailer. A four legged walker joined in too.
Once everyone is ready we'll be off. A quick photo op on the way out of Swanage.
Looks someone took their train set. You always seem to get some Scouts hanging back.
The walk took the group through some lovely countryside..... .....in very nice weather.
It's always much more comfortable to walk on grass. A welcome break on Corfe.
A rather steep climb out of the village....... .....the excercise is good for them though.
A great view when you get to the top........ .....of Corfe castle, now just a ruin thanks to a siege.
Always good to have Mum around if you have a foot problem. Another nice spot for a break.
This area had some fantastic views. Fish and chips as usual for dinner.
This is a great place by the river at Wareham. Time to go home as soon as everyone is ready.
