YHA Ironbridge November 2007

Once again, after leaving Uxbridge on Friday evening, 23rd November, we arrived at the Youth Hostel in pitch darkness. This time Coalport youth hostel near Ironbridge in Staffordshire. After a good nights and a good breakfast everyone was ready for a nice walk. The weather was a bit murky dry as we set off from the famous bridge. After lunch in Much Wenlock along came the rain although luckily it did not last too long. The Explorers decided to see what it felt like to join hands and touch a electric fence! Shocking! Once back to the bridge it was time to find fish and chips for dinner and then head back to Uxbridge. Always take the advice of a satnav with a pinch of salt though ! or maybe a shovelful !
