District Patrol Leaders Training Course

7th - 8th February 2009

The Uxbridge District Patrol leaders training course was held at 2nd Uxbridge with 17 Patrol Leaders or potential Patrol Leaders attending. They all enjoyed the event and learned loads about leading a Patrol. We hope the experience will encourage them to lead their Patrol at the Stilwell Shield camping competition or at their own Patrol camp.

Saturdays photo's

A couple of games ..... ... to get started.
A session on leadership run by Kevin, District Young Leader Unit Leader. Then another game to run off a bit more steam.
The Scouts slept in hike tents as it was a bit chilly. Time for lunch.
The afternoons events, pioneering.... ... hot air balloon making.
And ice cream making. The darlington bomber course amid the gleaming white snow.
Preparing for the start .... ...as usual they all get tangled at the turn.
Time for dinner, sausage pasta..... ... blue fried potato cakes !
The Scouts cooked for the Leaders. That pancake looks good enough to eat.
Another pancake with some very thick gooey chocolate. Now for the washing up.
A short walk to identify some photographs. This is a list of all the Patrols taking part.
A video for the late entertainment... ...and a late night snack.
... they look interested in the video... ... an unexpected visitor.
