FAMILY CAMP 2007

Bears Rails scout camp site

June 29th - 1st July 2007

Family camp is always a very popular event and this year was no exception, over 160 people camped despite the wet weather. The traditional Saturday evening camp fire was replaced with a bingo session inside and the rain did not help the hot air balloons but they still flew as you will be able to see. This was the first year that we had wet weather in about 10 years ! Everyone took part in the various events that were laid on and all seemed to have had a good time.

If you were there can you see yourself ? Friday supper was very welcome.
It must be ok, even the Leaders are tucking in. At least this Scout looks happy to be caught on camera.
Meal times at Family Camp are quite a social occasion. They all look very happy, it is only Friday though.
This group is mostly Discovery Explorers along with a few others chatting around the fire Next morning breakfast is on bright and early
The egg is ready for the eggy bread, a 2nd Uxbridge speciality Is our breakfast ready yet ?
At last................. .....I'm starving !
Make sure there is some left for me. Ther teams discuss the walk for the morning.
The last team is about to leave. Preparations for later in the day.
Everyone is back for lunch..... ....which most people want to eat under cover.
