On a Sunny Sunday 18th June, 16 eager Beaver Scouts arrived at Chalfont Heights camp site to join in with 800 other Beaver Scouts from across the County for a giant birthday party. The Beaver Scouts made party hats and then they were off to explore and enjoy all the activities on site. They had a go on the bouncy castles, and the giant swings to name but a few. After lunch had been eaten, there was the cutting of a very large birthday cake and singing of Happy Birthday. Next came the clowns who put on a very good show. The activities reopened around 1.30pm and off they went again. Our activity was the stocks where Mark (Otter) was a very good sport and got a drenching from the Beaver Scouts. A great day was had by all and the Beavers went home with a party bag and feeling tired. Many thanks to Hamster and Robin who manned the stocks base and for helping the leaders get wet, even those who were not in the stocks!! Thanks also to Otter and Rat for giving up their Sunday and looked after the Beaver Scouts so well.
